To help you prepare for the upcoming release of Android 5.0 (Lollipop), MobileIron has created a knowledge base article that provides initial compatibility details and recommendations for the key product areas:
- Infrastructure (Core, Connected Cloud, Sentry)
- Customers must upgrade to Core 7.1.1 or later (available shortly) in order for Core to recognize Android 5.0 and apply any OS version-related capabilities from security policies, dynamic labels and the app distribution library
- MobileIron provided apps
- Customers using AppConnect-enabled MobileIron provided apps must upgrade to AppConnect for Android 7.1 and download and redistribute the updated apps wrapped with AppConnect Android App Wrapper 7.1 to support Android 5.0
- Application management (Secure Apps Manager, AppConnect Android App Wrapper)
- Customers with in-house applications must upgrade to AppConnect for Android 7.1 and re-wrap their AppConnect-enabled apps with AppConnect Android App Wrapper 7.1 to support Android 5.0
- Third party apps distributed by MobileIron
- Customers using AppConnect-enabled third party apps distributed by MobileIron must upgrade to AppConnect for Android 7.1 and download and redistribute the updated apps wrapped with AppConnect Android App Wrapper 7.1 to support Android 5.0
